The wait is almost over–Boston Calling is officially just ONE WEEK AWAY!
We couldn’t be more excited to see some of our favorite acts in our own backyard! We are especially pumped to see some of our old friends who will be playing Boston Calling this year. Check out our conversations with these bands who will be serenading you at Harvard Stadium in roughly seven days.
Lucy Dacus: Friday on the Green Stage from 3:10-3:50
Lucy’s album No Burden was our favorite album of 2016 and we can’t wait to see her play it again! If you want to hear my conversation with Lucy, click here.
Sylvan Esso: Friday on the XFinity Stage from 5:40-6:40
At Boston Calling, Sylvan Esso will be playing tracks off both their self-tiled debut release and their new album, What Now, which came out on April 28 of this year. I was able to catch up with the band in 2014 when Sylvan Esso first came out. You can hear us chat by clicking here.
Tegan And Sara: Saturday on the XFinity Stage from 5:20-6:20
Having Tegan And Sara as our 50th guest in October was one of the highlights of my time with Backstage. I cannot wait to see them again at Boston Calling! If you want to relive one of my favorite interviews, click here.
Frightened Rabbit: Sunday on The Delta Blue Stage from 4:20-5:20.
If you’re looking for one the nicest and most talented musicians working right now, look no further than Scott Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit. Their album Painting Of A Panic Attack came in at the 9 spot of our top 10 albums of 2016. Looking forward to finally getting the chance to see that masterful record live! I talked to Scott about the album. Check it out by clicking here.
Soo…who will be a part of our Boston Calling Bash this year?!
Stay tuned…we’ll make the official announcement next week. I can guarantee you this–you won’t be disappointed!
