Jade Bird played at The Sinclair 10 days ago. She was opening for someone, but by the time her mesmerizing set was over, I forgot who was taking the stage next. And I didn’t care, because I just saw the best show of the night and probably the night. Taking the stage with just her guitar, the twenty year old was as natural and as unfiltered as her music. When you listen to her songs or see her preform you’re jus seeing Jade—no middle man, no BS, just all that this incredibly promising artists has to offer, and that’s quite a bit. Jade and I talk before her set about playing in the US, staying true to herself and how Beyonce is a damn American treasure.
